Get your life back from excessive worry, imposter fears, and catastrophic thinking?
Cope with illness, divorce, or loss?

Get your life back from self-limiting thoughts and behaviors?
Connect better with a teen or help get a teen’s life back on track?
Or perhaps you wish to explore the many layers of your “self” to better understand who you are, how you got here, and ways to grow in a more directed, intentional manner?
I’ve helped hundreds of clients in Marin county and all over California & Colorado reduce their suffering & stress and find calm, joy, & vitality.
I work with teens, young adults, millennials, middle aged folks, and older adults, and I welcome people of all genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and ethnic & cultural backgrounds.
Issues I specialize in:
ANGER
Anger is often misunderstood and can get us into trouble.
What is anger? When is anger a problem? How can I “manage” my anger better?
Let me help you.
ANXIETY
Anxiety can affect us in many ways, including worry, panic, exhaustion, and poor sleep.
I've helped countless people learn to ease their anxiety, get to the root of their fears, feel calmer, and worry less.
MEN’S THERAPY
As a man, you may be used to solving your own problems or not asking for help. Times are changing and that’s where men’s counseling can help.
I help men learn about emotional intelligence, communication, relationship skills, and managing stress.
COUPLES COUNSELING
Couples seek counseling when communication breaks down, conflicts arise, and connection and trust are strained.
I provide a skilled, safe space for couples to address their concerns and improve communication & connection.
ADHD THERAPY
ADHD affects individuals by impacting their ability to focus, organize & motivate, control impulses, and/or manage hyperactivity.
I help those with ADHD build on their strengths, improve areas where they feel stymied, and increase their self-confidence.

If you are looking for someone to guide you in the therapy process who takes you seriously while being kind and compassionate, and who is skillful and experienced but down-to-earth and easy to talk to, then I may be the right therapist for you.
I’m licensed to provide counseling and psychotherapy in-person in the San Francisco Bay Area and also online throughout all of California and Colorado.
Fees & Insurance:
My regular fee for adolescent, adult, or couples therapy is $250 ($275 as of 1/1/25) for a 50 minute psychotherapy session. Extended sessions for couples are available as needed and the schedule allows. I accept cash, personal check, Visa/MC/Amex, and Health Savings Account cards.
I do not take insurance directly, however, I can provide a monthly statement of the fees you have paid to me so you can potentially receive reimbursement from your insurer. In this case, I advise you to contact your insurance company and ask about your specific coverage for “out of network” mental health services.
Good Faith Estimate Notice:
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
